Description
A filament holder for the BambuLab A1 mini printer solves several issues I've been having trouble with:
-The printer can be placed closer to a wall, and the holder has a movable element so you don't have to move the printer away to change the spool.
-The PTFE is now stationary relative to the spool, solving the problem of the filament coming loose from the spool when the printhead returns from the top to the bottom.
-The spool is low, preventing the spool's heavy weight from vibrating, which occurs with other holders that mount the spool high on the printer frame.
Assembly:
The holder consists of three components:
- a base that fits into the factory spool mounting location,
- a movable element for hanging the spool,
- an axle that needs to be glued in place to prevent it from falling out due to printer vibrations. No non-printed components are required.
