This figure represents a gargoyle reinterpreted in a fantastic and ornamental style. With its feminine demeanor, bat wings, and curved horns, it embodies the duality between the divine and the monstrous, typical of the stone-carved guardians that crown Gothic cathedrals. Its serene posture, with crossed legs and relaxed arms, suggests an eternal vigilance, more contemplative than aggressive.
Gargoyles, beyond their architectural function as downspouts, were protective symbols: creatures that warded off evil from above. This version reimagines that role, not as a drain, but as an emblem of mythological power, unsettling beauty, and eternal vigilance.
This figure is complemented by the male version that humbly bows before her.
Print details:
- 0.2mm layer height
- Be very careful when removing supports, especially from the wings and the hand
- Used fuzzy skin on parts of the image, combined with smooth parts, for example, on the wings
