Description

A mount for the TronXY "TR" ABL sensor on the HeroMe Gen7 printhead assembly.

Derived from the existing ABL mount "HMG7.2 Hallon Medium ABL Left Mount", which is a few mm too short for the "TR" sensor in combination with a Volcano hotend. V3 is an even a bit longer version, if needed. Additional the slit for the nut holding te TR sensor is refined to give a better fit.

Print orientation has been optimized to minimize support.

TronXY TR sensor (black, for all non-transparent objects): https://store.tronxy.com/product-8000034.html - should work with the older blue version (detects metal only) as well: https://store.tronxy.com/product-8000075.html

Print Settings

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.14 - 0.28

45%

Filament Material:

ABS (PETG, ASA, … should work as wlll)

Notes:

I printed this in ABS (Geeetech ABS+) like all my HeroMe parts.

For all HeroMe parts, I use

  • outer layer height: 0.14mm
  • inner layer height (inner perimeters and infill). 0.28mm
  • line width 0.6mm
  • 45% infill (not really needed here though)
  • adaptive cubic infill
  • automatic tree support with lean trees, on buildplate only, "only critical" NOT checked

and two postprocessing scripts in OrcaSlicer 2.3.0

settings see file "settings.zip"

The .3MF is for OrcaSlicer 2.3.0, the _generic.3mf is exported from OrcaSlicer als "Generic 3MF",
whatever that means.
The STEP file is created by imprting the 3MF into FreeCAD 1.0
and then coverted from the mesh to a solid and exported as "STEP with colors",
the FCStd file is the FreeCAD file from that conversion.

STL is exported from OrcaSlicer. Go for the 3MF if possible.

How I Designed This:

Just a modifications in OrcaSlicer ("add part" / "add negative part").
