If you've found this simple little model useful a boost is always greatly appreciated.
Snap-fit tailors tape winder. Quick to fit, deploys in an instant just like a spooled up tape would normally but winds back up in a fraction of the time. No bulky spool/container dangling off the end while youre trying to take measurements, or falling off and needing to be re-attached every time you fully unspool the tape.
My tape is 13mm wide, with a 10mm long 1mm thick metal clip on the end - so the metric print profile (plate 1) labeled as such is scaled for that size of tape along with a range of other tape width options from 10mm-25mm. There is also an imperial print profile for half inch and 1 inch wide tapes. I am very happy to adjust the model to the sizes of different tapes at request and add them as print profiles. All but the one specifically designed for my tape have a maximum 15mm long clip length, and a clip thickness of 1mm - if your metal clip is larger or thicker than that you can either scale the model to suit, or drop me a message and I'll make a custom version.
To attach, simply place the metal clip on the end of the tape (not the zero end, the other end) into the rectangular groove on one of the pieces, and aligning the corresponding cut out in the other piece, press the two together firmly at each of the six pin locations (this takes a little bit of force but ensures the clip doesnt come loose during use). Wind the tape up as you usually would around the winder, you can of course wind it so your desired unit side is on the outside of the spool and quick to hand for small measurements.
