SEAGULL SEAGULL-DF2-ETM_Upper Cover
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a spare plastic part I made for an old camera I currently own, the Seagull (SEAGULL) DF2-ETM,
This 3D model is for the upper case part (for the bottom cover, please refer to another article bottom cover),
Based on the original dimensions, due to the directional strength of the printed PLA base layer, the following changes were made:
External ribs were added to the thin outer wall section in 5 places

An external rib was added around the viewfinder area (after installation, confirmed no interference issues)

The assembly dimensions of the other parts have been trial-fitted and inspected, and I believe the clearance is acceptable. Below are the detail images:

There is a recessed hole of 9*6.2*0.4 (mm) on the back of the counter, which can be used after attaching a transparent PC sheet to prevent dust from entering

Finally, it is recommended to use the currently suggested placement method. If printed upright, removing supports can easily damage the fragile side walls. I used PLA as the main material and PETG for the raft interface to help with support removal. Other materials such as water-soluble supports would be even better

The above structural verifications have been used by me without issues so far,
If you find any parts that can be improved or optimized during processing or use with the same parameters, please leave a message and contact me, and we can fine-tune the 3D model together
I will continue to try and repair the light metering circuit of this camera. If successful, I will also open source the circuit part
If you have any old parts that need reverse engineering or design optimization, please feel free to contact me as well~ Let's ensure old equipment never has to worry about spare parts again
Thank you
