Update 12May26 (V2)

Added: Traditional Hide Print Profile I have added a new print profile with the center column removed. This modification creates a more open internal space, offering a traditional hide layout for those who prefer a standard footprint over the original design.

Redesgined the model from the ground up. Same size, better design.
Prints Approx 20% Faster than V1
Uses less filiment by reducing thickness in the model where it wasn't needed. 

Update, 12Nov25
Added Smooth as well as Fuzzy Model upload, I believe the fuzzy is the better choice for shrimp. Also added adaptive layer height to the prints for a better finish. 


Shrimp Hide V2

The V2 model is a complete ground-up redesign faster  print time and uses less material.

 

Print Efficiency: 20% reduction in print time compared to V1.

Material Optimization: Uses 20% less filiment. 

 

Variations: Files include both Smooth and Fuzzy Skin versions. Use the Fuzzy Skin model; the increased surface area is objectively better for biofilm growth and provides a superior texture for shrimp to graze on.

Functional Design

Most "hides" on the market are too open, failing to provide actual security. This design features specific hole placement to create a shadowed, low-stress interior. It is a functional sanctuary, not just a decoration.

 

100% Infill: Guaranteed to sink

Material: Print in PETG. Do not use PLA for long-term submersion.'

 

Planting: The textured surface is designed for easy attachment of moss or epiphytes using fishing line or gel-type super glue.

 

Printing Note: No supports required (Tested on P1S)
