Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this project, a boost means a lot — it helps me keep sharing more practical designs 😊

Cut the drag, not the corners.
This snap-on holder mounts your AMS Buffer or HUB directly to the back slots of the popular AMS Riser V2, creating a very smooth, highly optimized filament path.

🔹 37 % shorter PTFE path – only 250 mm AMS→HUB (300 mm if you use buffer) and 330 mm Buffer/HUB→Printer.
🔹 Faster load & unload – filament reaches the printer inlet quicker, easing the workload on AMS motors and creates less drag.
🔹 Balanced design – could be even shorter, but kept extra room for gentle angles and long-term reliability.
🔹 Support-free print – robust snap fit, uses stock screws for fixing the Buffer / HUB.

🔹 Both Buffer and HUB are compatible

⚡️ Note: Faster loading doesn’t mean your multi-color prints finish twice as fast. Color-change time is mostly purge and move operations—but with hundreds of swaps you will feel the difference.

Requires Biqu AMS Lite 0.5 m 4-pin extension for the printer-to-buffer cable due to the higher position (link below, screenshot above). Despite it is marketed as an AMS Lite extension cable, it works flawlessly as a buffer - printer extension cable for P1 / X1 series printers too.

If you like optimizing things around your printer, I appreciate if you chose my design :) If you are happy with it, please consider boosting me. Thanky you.
