Description

This is an updated version of my original backscratcher, The ITCHINATOR. It has been redesigned to be more robust, and have MAX scratching power.

In separate print profiles, there are three Scratching Heads to choose from, which are easily interchangeable:

  • MAX: The newest and scratchiest of them all.
  • Medium: A great balance between scratching effectiveness and comfort.
  • Soft: Best for sensitive skin and minor itches.

This back scratcher started out as a little CAD learning exercise, something to practice modelling threaded parts and multiple components. But after printing it, I realized it actually works really well… and even my cat loves it (turns out it doubles as a pretty great pet scratcher too).

The ITCHINATOR MAX's key features:

  • Three part designTwo 200mm segments and a scratching head, all threaded for an easy and strong assembly.
  • Bambu Lab FriendlySized to print on all BBL printers.
  • No SupportsThe extension rod has a thin flat surface on which it prints on, eliminating any need for supports. The female thread holes print perfectly without any supports.
  • High StrengthAs the components are printed horizontally, the layer lines run parallel to the force applied when scratching. Extra wall loops and infill modifiers have been applied to the ITCHINATOR MAX, ensuring maximum strength.
  • Ergonomic HandleThe finger grooves are nice and deep, and perfectly spaced (for my hand, anyway).
  • Effective Scratching Head: Just the right width for a balance of itchy area covered and PSI. Choose whichever scratching head suits you best, or try them all!
  • Not Just a Back Scratcher: The extension rod has a rough knurled texture, which is great for scratching other body parts.

The model pictured was printed in PLA at 0.20mm layer height.

Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
