USS Megalol Don – The Living Battleship (Will add photos of fully printed model once completed)

This is my very first entry in a MakerWorld contest. For the Master Challenge: Battleship I decided to go a little wild and create something no one would expect: the USS Megalol Don, a prehistoric apex predator reborn as a steel plated dreadnought with a grin as big as its guns.

Long ago scientists pulled a single tooth from the ocean floor and in true Jurassic Park fashion spliced ancient DNA to bring the legendary Megalodon back to life. But Don’s journey did not end with resurrection. This giant shark soon enlisted to fight for world freedom trading his teeth for turret barrels and his fins for heavy armor.

Now Don roams the seas as an unstoppable hybrid, part apex predator and part naval war machine, equal parts terror and punchline. From the armored dorsal turrets to the reinforced battleship belly he is ready to sink enemy fleets and steal the show.

Design Notes

• Designed for easy support removal.
• Turret barrels and fin edges are thickened for easy printing and long term durability.
• The shark’s flattened underside merges seamlessly into a rectangular battleship style base with a continuous raised wave lip giving it the look of a steel hull cutting through the sea.

Printing Tips

• Print flat on the rectangular base for best stability.
• 0.08 mm for best detail but slower or 0.12 mm layer height captures the crisp bas relief detail.
• PLA or PLA+ recommended.
