Description

Hey, everyone! Today, We are thrilled to share an exciting 3D design that will take your Bambu Lab A1 & A1 Mini to the next level.

We've created a specialized X Axis Cover that allows you to mount a remote shutter for your 4K action camera, transforming your time-lapse game.

Our 'x-axis remote shutter mount' replaces your existing x-axis cover using the same screws, so no need for extra hardware, you'll of course need a camera with the same remote shutter as we have used for this to work.

We've tested this with our own Akaso V50X, but it works with any Akaso model that uses the same remote shutter.

There are 6x ‘Triggers’ on the build plate and each is 0.10mm difference in length starting from 18.00mm.

We strongly advise you print all 6 of these.

Once you have fitted the 3D printed part and remote shutter, insert the 18.00mm trigger and start a print. If the remote button isn't pressed with the force of the extruder screw then pause the print and try the 18.10mm trigger. Continue this process until the button is pressed with the correct sized trigger.

All you need to do now is switch on ‘smooth timelapse’ in your slicer and "send it"

Its best to insert the remote shutter (or Trigger) once the initial bed level/ flow calibration is complete, this is to avoid 50+ unnecessary photos.

Our Print profile has the Bambu Lab Logo in multi-colour and is 3 layers thick. Several changes have been made to get the best results including 4 walls, 50% Gyroid infill, Arachne wall generator and supports.

The supports are within the part itself so need a little patience to remove, its a pretty solid model with no thin parts to break during removal and we have had 100% success with every prototype removing them.

I modified it for Canon BR-E1. Good design. Thanks!

is your purge wiper working normally? I did the similar thing as you did but the trigger is blocking tool head slightly and it is causing purge wiper not functioning as normal. Any solution to this?

thank you for the ingenious project, I have converted the file and built it for the GoPro camera, everything works flawlessly and the trigger is pressed every time. However, I now have a problem, in your description, you said that you have to turn on the Smooth Mod for it to work, then a cleaning tower always appears for me, I always remove it or do I have to print it for it to work? Even if I have the smooth mode on, I still have the problem that the printer does not move to the page and triggers the button even though I have activated the TimeLapse, can someone help me here please?

I made last week a version for the Telesin T10 remote for my Gopro 8. Have already installed it on my A1, but have to test more to discover with button I have to use for the shutter button

I have a model you can download that will make the clicker for this remote holder for that remote specifically.

Removing the supports for this is what finally got me to start figuring out how to use a different material for support interfaces. It’s a fantastic print and instructions are great. Every time the printer parks its head it triggers a photo, which works great with single filament prints. For multicolor stuff, though, it take several additional shots per color change, depending on how much the system thinks it needs to purge, so ultimately not for me.

Very Nice! it fits perfectly! I had to add a little of tape on the piece that triggers the shutter because I couldn’t unscrew more the extruder screw. also added my logo on the slicer 😁 thank you!

Supports difficult to remove, i used tree supports, the little trigers and the big accesory don´t fit well, i use 101% for the big one and 99% for the little ones, and i had to enlaerge it to 23mm. After that i´m now testing and i hope it works

Instead of printing it flat on the plate, I raised one of the straight sides 45°. Used a raft with 2 layers to hold it to the plate. A lot less supports and easier to remove.

I modified this for the gopro remote. Works great. Couple of things for the gopro users - You need to set your camera to not turn off automatically. When it comes back on, it can switch to video. The remote button is stiffer than other remotes and the case its in makes the button that much harder to press. I settled on 21mm button. I made a hole on the bottom of the remote holder for USB power for long prints. I also cut out the side for access to the remote buttons if I need them. The remote holder needs to be smaller in depth to align with the button. It also needs to be about 3mm wider in each direction to fit the remote without it being so snug. I can not share the STL due to original license. Please don't ask.

The supports are difficult to remove, but otherwise it works very well, I have already made several time-lapses
