Description

3D-Printed Photo Strip Frame

Frame your photo booth strips with this sleek 3D-printed photo strip frame! Designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind, this simple frame allows you to slide in your favorite photo strips and securely houses them.

Features:

  • Simple & Elegant Design – Perfect to display photo strips on your desk, shelf, or anywhere around the house
  • Standard Sizing – Designed to frame standard 2" x 6" photo strips most commonly given by photo booths
  • Easy Insertion/Removal of Photos – Features a thin slot along the top to easily slide photo strips in and out of the frame
  • Quick Print – Prints in under an hour and uses <15g of filament (including support material!)

If you love this model, feel free to leave a rating and/or give me a boost!

Note: The model prints face down with supports for the thin slots that hold the photo strip in place. When removing the supports, running a razor blade through the thin slit at the top can help remove any leftover support material that prevents the photo strip from sliding through.

Prints super well and clean. I did remove it from the bed straight away, which wasn't a smart idea, but even then, it works. The support material on the slit for the picture was a bit annoying but came out cleanly in 30 seconds

Inconvenience of support removal during printing, structurally too thin with insufficient layer adhesion, causing it to break easily, printing is not recommended

Sorry that it didn't turn out well for you! Referring to the support removal, I understand it is a bit tedious, but it was the best way to keep the model low in filament usage. I originally tried to orient it upright so no supports are required, but the thin nature of the frame meant it would be too tall and thin to reliably print well. In terms of layer adhesion, what printer/filament were you using? I had no issues with this on my X1 Carbon with Bambu Lab Matte PLA. This may potentially be an issue with the printer or filament rather than the print profile.

Just be mindful to take out supports on the inside of the model.
