When I first printed the Dummy 13 – Version 1.0 by Lucky 13 Toys in PLA or even in PETG, I was super excited. I thought it would be a great toy for my son – but like many of you, I ended up pretty disappointed. After just a short time, the joints got loose, and with only a little twist the whole thing came apart. That’s when I realised it wasn’t really a toy at all, but just a display model.

Later I found this remix:
DUMMY13 1.0 TPU强化关节永不松动. DUMMY 13 Remixed by luu0898 – MakerWorld

It was a big improvement, but I kept thinking: why spend time assembling TPU balls into the frame, when it could be integrated in the frame?

So here it is: a reinforced Dummy 13 frame with integrated TPU joints. It’s durable, flexible, and actually holds up to real play. Perfect for kids (and adults who still like to play).

I made this test video so you can see for yourself how strong the frame really is:

Note! It's still completely compatible with any Dummy 13 armor you want to put on it, even after my modifications.

Model info:

  • Reinforced frame printable in PLA or PETG (PETG recommended for sunlight/outdoor use).
  • Integrated TPU joints – printed directly in place, and stays there even under stress (eg. kids play).
  • Joints stay flexible without wearing out after short use.
  • Stronger housings so joints stay together much better.
  • Tested with both Generic TPU98A and TPU for AMS, with great results.

⚠️ Important: Both TPU and PLA/PETG must be dried before printing to avoid stringing and get clean results.

Tested successfully printing TPU 98A on a H2D using the Bambu TPU 95A profile.

Print Settings (suggested):

  • Layer height: 0.16 mm or lower recommended for best results.
  • Walls: 3 (Arachne).
  • Infill: 15%, Gyroid.
  • No supports or brim required.
  • One wall on first layer
  • Avoid crossing wall

For convenience, I’ve made an optimized version of the original Dummy 13 armor as a separate print profile (see the “Armor” profile description for more details).
