🔧 DIY Filter for Tortum 100 – Simple, efficient, and turtle-friendly!
Here's a small homemade filter designed specifically for the Terratlantis Tortum 100 terrarium, using the original kit's material. It connects directly to the Aquatlantis Bio Filter 600 pump via a standard 16.5 mm hose.

🧱 It can hold up to 1.1 L of biomass (25 mm bioballs, pozzolana, Biomax, or whatever you have on hand!), with an adjusted flow rate of around 190 L/h, perfect for slow and efficient biological filtration.

💨 The water exits in a cascade, well-oxygenated thanks to the open filter in contact with the air — ideal for boosting nitrifying bacteria. The whole thing simply rests on one of the Tortum's beaches, without drilling or modifications.

🧪 Successfully tested at home*, this setup clearly improves water quality for our turtles. Feel free to adapt it or share your feedback!

*Printed in PLA, water at 27°C, no deformation after one month, with 500mL of Bioballs, 300mL of Seachem Matrix and 200mL of Biomax
