Speed Triple Carpuride W603 Mount

This is a mount designed for Triumph speed triples. This mount “captures” the machined steering stem nut and allows you to mount the Carpuride W603 (Maybe others) to your speed triple. Simply remove the ball mount from the Carpuride leaving the circle/square interface stem left attached to the unit. Mount the stem to the carpuride. I used a slightly longer metric Allen bolt but not too long. I think the stock screw may be long enough but to make it a little more secure a longer screw is advised. Then for the larger nut shaped piece I used simple 4mm Allen bolts, washers, and lock washers to pull them together. The stem will need to be slid in at the same time allowing it to all be squeezed together. 

The stem is made too tight on purpose. You'll notice when trying to slide the stem into half of the large nut that it is very tight. This would allow you to customize how tight you want it. The reason I did this is because some may not have the brass inserts needed for the rotation locking part of the stem. If you line the stem up just right when assembling it should be tight enough to not need to use the locking screw so it is up to you. If you want to be able to spin it and line it up then you need to insert a brass thread with a soldering iron 3mm from the inside of the circle part Not the outside. There is a ledge inside to help avoid the brass insert from pulling out when tightening. To get a looser fit and use the locking screw simply sand lightly on the bottom of the stem tell the desired fit is achieved. If you need help just ask and ill try to assist.
