Description

As the cultist lifted the dagger above his head, the light of the fire caught on the curves of its blade - reminding of flames licking on a torch.

This dagger is a prop, suitable as gift for fantasy fans, as decoration, LARP accessory or for cosplaying. The length totals at about 41cm (16inches). It is inspired by the countless hours I spent trutting through the fantasy worlds of Skyrim, World of Warcraft, League of Legends or playing Dungeons and Dragons.

The dagger prints in two parts: the blade and the hilt. The blade is 25cm tall at 100% scale.
There are two versions of the blade: one with a triangular support halfway to stabilize the blades during printing (I recommend printing this version) and one without. Those supports can be easily clipped off with the pliers.

All parts have one flat side to be aligned to the build plate and are designed to print without slicer-generated supports. I use a all-purpose glue to attach the blade to the hilt. The nooks help with matching them up.

The AMS version has the hilt colored differently.

For the painted model in the pictures, I applied a faux leather wrap over the grip and applied a wax-based metallic paint.
