Description
This 3D-printed tool is designed to simplify and improve the installation of insulation plugs in XPS or EPS boards.
- How it works:
The tool is a cylinder with a hole that fits over the nail in the center of the plug. It guides the insulation plug smoothly into the drilled hole, ensuring it seats correctly before the nail is hammered in. - Why it’s useful:
• Confirms that the plug is fully inserted
• Prevents errors caused by drilling dust or debris
• Makes it easy to detect problems before driving the nail
• Saves time and ensures a secure, professional result - Compatibility:
Suitable for most insulation plugs with nail heads up to 15 mm.
For larger nail heads, simply scale the model in Bambu Studio to fit your needs.
Since I started using this tool, I haven’t had a single insulation plug installed incorrectly. It’s quick, reliable, and highly effective
