Description

A friend wanted a big brick Batman and although there were some good models out there a lot were charging or not quite what I wanted. I had a Batman mini fig that I liked, and so, building on the amazing work of Julia Elbert, DM_Aus, and MisfitMaker3D I customised and refined various parts to try and as closely as possible recreate the fig in 5:1 scale.

The results are this… spread across many build blates to try and save time/supports/colour swaps, I present my version of the Big Brick Batman! The chest plate and face are entirely custom made, recreated from the mini fig as closely as possible! As part of that I've split out the mouth and eyes, with options to print the mouth as 1 pice or 2 (2 saves colour swaps and the white is whiter due to less bleed of black into white). I've also included a 1 piece version of the head if you'd prefer to go with many many colour swaps. There are 2 versions of the hips, the DM_Aus version and a version refined to print as 1 piece (at the expense of more supports). The cape does print and work ok, I've refined the holes as much as possible so it doesn't stick out to much, but I'm personally debating using it as a template to cut some fabric instead.

Cowl was custom, taken from a scan of the mini fig version and scaled up, refined, and a slimmer version of (scaling up it looks oddly large).

I'm super happy with how this turned out, but I want to stress again, although I did some of the custom stuff like chest and face etc, non of it would be possible without amazing people in this community like Julia Elbert, DM_Aus and MisfitMaker3D that provided the base models to build on!

Massive thank you to everyone that builds, contributes, and makes this community possible!
