Highlights

- Added extra supports for unsupported surfaces for more consistent and even layers when printing with Overture PLA professional (recommended) and/or BambuLab PETG translucent (smooth finishes and easy to break off supports).
- Text on model can be edited on ‘Bambu Studio’.

- Scaled Remix: 'Nickomode' (This remix was scaled down by 97.5% for a tighter and more secure fit).
Recommended Filament: Overture PLA Professional
- Toughness: 5x tougher than standard PLA, with a Charpy impact strength of 13.4±1.2kJ/m2. This means it can absorb high-speed impacts without fracturing.
- Alternative: If PLA Professional isn't an option, PETG is a strong second choice since it has significantly better impact resistance than standard PLA which allows it to absorb impact energy without shattering (aka. less brittle).
- Print Quality: Modified support settings and variable layer height on ‘Bambu Studio’ to ensure quality is excellent, with supports that are easy to break away.
NOTES
Charpy impact strength: Is just an indicator of a material's toughness, like its ability to absorb energy during fracture under a high-speed impact load.
Testing: Printed and tested models with ('OVERTURE HS TPU', ‘BambuLab PETG translucent’, and ‘Overture PLA professional’) and strongly recommend Overture PLA professional (as mentioned above). TPU was too ductile and not rigid enough.
Alternatives: There are certain grades of nylon or even polycarbonate that are superior to OVERTURE PLA Professional for this project.
