Airplane tray table phone holder travel MKII

I have uploaded a FUSION 360 CAD model with only the key variables needed, you can now use the CUSTOMIZE button to generate a model to suit your phone in MakerWorld without having to use FUSION 360. (The original FUSION 360 file is available for those who want to redesign this model).

OK this is my second design at an airline phone holder, this one mounts over the table tray in it's upright position.
It slips over the tray & places the phone more at eye level than my previous phone holder.

This design will not be as accepting of various sized phones/covers, but does offer a better viewing angle on the plane, chances are your phone will not be the same as this Samsung S23 with the phone cover attached. Open the file in FUSION 360 and select PARAMETERS from the MODIFY menu, Enter in the size of your phone (including cover). The PhoneCoverThickness parameter determines how far in the retention tabs protrude, obviously you dont want them to intrude into the screen area & block the footage.

I have tested this on 3 airplane variants & works on all, however, I have shared the FUSION 360 CAD file & I have used PARAMETERS to define the shape, so even if you have limited CAD knowledge, you should be able to edit the file & tweak it to suit the aircraft you fly on (if this generic design is not suitable). You have the ability to adjust the viewing angle etc. 

It can be used when the table tray is down or like shown here at the airport waiting for your flight.

This is the original design, more compact but only works on the tray in the down position.
