TOO KT-159 3.2 L Food Storage Box + Custom Hygrometer/Thermometer Frame

The TOO KT-159 (3.2 L) food storage container was originally designed for kitchen use, but with a simple 3D printed add-on it becomes a perfect filament storage solution. The lid can be modified to hold a Mini Hygrometer Thermometer (Celsius/Fahrenheit) module, allowing you to constantly monitor the temperature and humidity inside the box.

We designed a 3D printed mounting frame for the sensor, which fits securely into the lid’s opening.

  • Print time: about 15–30 minutes (depending on nozzle size: ~15 min with 0.6 mm, ~30 min with 0.4 mm)
  • Filament usage: only ~8 g

The container fits BambuLab, Sunlu, and Polyterra spools very well. However, the KT-159 boxes may slightly differ depending on the batch — in some the frame sits perfectly tight, while in others it might feel a bit loose and require a drop of glue for extra stability.

The result is a compact, transparent storage box that keeps your filament in optimal condition while giving you clear environmental readings at a glance.
