Description

I designed this model to use as a display stand for souvenir baseballs. The print file includes two pauses in between layers so you can change filament to get the multicolor effect shown without needing AMS. Prints without any supports needed.

did you have to change the layer heights then for color change after scaling 130%

no just the scaling.

ok. I scaled it up to 130% and started print. did the black, then changed to white like the regular ones did but the when it changed to brown it continued all over the white. I'm pretty new to 3d printing, that's why I asked. maybe I'll try again. thank you. :-)

Yes! My Great Nephew is new this year playing for the Indianapolis Clowns. His name is Niko Hulsizer. Do you follow Banana Ball?

That's so cool! Yeah I follow a little bit. I got to go to a Tailgaters and Firefighters game last year. I also got to see Niko's teammate Jackie Bradley Jr. play in the minor leagues years ago.

fun model! I’d recommend taking the pauses out of the print profile and coloring it in Bambu studio so that it works with the AMS. cheers,

Great model! printed two with ams in PETG(due to colors on hand). used a wood gel stain on one to give a wood look to it.

This printed very well! I printed in 3 colours, no AMS. It was set up great, my printer paused at each colour, I switched it, it kept on. Easy peasy! Great model!!

Turned out perfect scaled up to 131% for a softball. I couldn’t get the base plate to print in a different color. Can someone help me with that?

These ultimately printed out just fine. I did scale up by 10% to ensure a good size for a softball. I'm new and so my experience was unique to me and would probably be fine for others with more experience. I was not watching the printer at the pause and because I was using the AMS and only printing one color at a time I struggled with swapping the filaments out. Also, because I scaled it up it did change the print pause and I had to unpause to get the white plate to finish in white and then manually pause it later to swap to brown when it started printing the bats. I wish I knew more about what I was doing and it probably would have gone smoother. Like the design, probably one of the better ones out there. Would love to see a better AMS version.

If you have AMS why didn't you just use the AMS profile that another user uploaded? I don't have AMS so I'm not comfortable uploading a profile that I can't test myself.

I tested both profiles in the slicer after scaling them up. Both wanted to print the home plate in brown and not finish it in white. I went with the single filament with the pauses because I thought I'd have more control over the build to not screw it up since I was printing 3 at once. newbie trying to figure it all out.
