Description

A dramatic moment frozen in light — a battleship struck by a torpedo, captured inside a glowing 3D printed night lamp. I designed the entire scene in Blender and brought it to life with my Bambu Lab P1S printers. The diorama combines storytelling, design, and functional electronics to create a unique display piece.

The lamp shines with an atmospheric blue glow, enhancing the sense of an underwater strike. For the electronics, I repurposed a switch from an old Bluetooth mouse, wired in a 12 cm lamp, and powered it with two AA batteries — mixing sustainability with creativity.

Assembly instructions:

  1. Solder the lamp to rigid wires and pass them through the black case.
  2. Solder the switch and battery contacts to the wires.
  3. Glue the black case with wires onto the blue wave base.
  4. Heat the battery contacts with a lighter and insert them into the case.
  5. Glue the switch in place.
  6. Secure wires and switch with hot glue for stability.
  7. Glue the battleship onto the wave.
  8. Attach the torpedo to the ship.
  9. Insert AA batteries, close the cover, switch on, and enjoy the glowing battle scene.
