Bambu Lab P1S – Custom Filament Waste Bin

This is a new custom version of a filament waste chute and bin that I designed for the Bambu Lab P1S/X1C printers. The design ensures that all purge waste falls neatly into the container, keeping the back and bottom of your printer clean.

For installation, you only need 5×2 mm magnets. The magnets fit perfectly into the holes designed for them, holding the chute securely against the printer body. No screws or supports are required for printing. This model is not AMS-only – it works perfectly with or without AMS.

It is especially useful when working with AMS and multiple filaments, since purge happens more often and the bin fills up quickly. With this waste chute, your workspace stays tidy and you don’t have to constantly clean behind the printer.

A special feature of this design is the option to print and attach a logo or custom emblem in a different color. The logo slots into the body precisely, so you can personalize the bin with any color you like.

The chute prints in two parts (two trays) that easily fit together after printing. Print time is about 3 hours with standard settings. I recommend 0.2 mm layer height and at least 3 perimeters for durability, but you can adjust to your own preferences.

I have tested it several times and it works smoothly, catching all purge lines. If you try it, I’d love to hear your feedback or suggestions for improvements.
