ETI Superfast Thermapen Replacement Battery Cover
Print Profile(1)

Description
My battery cover has been broken for sometime, but still retained by the silicon lanyard but today I decided to engineer a replacement. The clips on these covers are known to break, unfortunately the covers do not seem to be available as a spare part.
This cover is about 30mm in diameter and features the 'OPEN' text which you can colour in if required in Bambo Studio.
There's also a coin slot to open the cover (fits a UK 10 pence - probably also fits a butter knife or similar rounded thin object)
The indents to retain the silicon gasket are present, so you can carefully remove it from the old battery cover and use it on the new 3D printed one.
There is also a small box for the battery foam, again I reused the foam from the original cover.
I didn't replicate the small peg, mine had bent over sometime ago, the replacement cover works without it.
I haven't glued my silicon gasket to the lid, the fit holds it in place at the moment, but be careful not to lose the cover when you change the batteries as the lanyard will not hold the cover.
The original cover was water/dust proof. Whilst this 3D print allows reuse of the silicone gasket I can't guarantee that it will still be water/dust proof.
