Case for Raspberry Pi Zero Models with Camera
Print Profile(1)

Description
The official case for the different Raspberry Pi Zero models has the disadvantage that the latest camera models do not really fit without mechanical modifications.
Furthermore, additional tools are required to mount the case in a stable orientation, for example by using a tripod.
This led me to designing an extensible case which can be easily adjusted to the intended scenario.
The model, when printed in red and white, looks a little bit like the official one.
Any of the back parts can be combined with any of the front parts.
Back and front can be easily clipped together and hold Raspberry Pi Zero as well as the cameras in a stable position without any screws.
All combinations allow also mounting a heat sink without conflict with a camera.
Currently, the following back parts are available:
- Base version without additional specifics.
- Base version with GPIO opening
- Base version with slot for camera cable
- 'Air condition' version with openings for better convection.
- Tripod version with GPIO opening and a foot having a hole for a ¼" 20x12.7x8 threaded insert.
- Tripod version closed with a foot having a hole for a ¼" 20x12.7x8 threaded insert.
- "Motor"-version which can be mounted on a stepper or other motor in order to get a motorized camera.
(For a tripod-mountable case for a 28BYJ-48 stepper motor with motor driver, see https://makerworld.com/en/models/1663833-case-for-28byj-48-stepper-motor#profileId-1760544)
The axis of rotation passes the no-parallax point of the camera, which allows creating panoramas.
Controlling a Raspberry Pi Zero (2) with camera, motor or other GPIO devices can be done with RaspiCamSrv (https://github.com/signag/raspi-cam-srv)
The following front parts are currently available:
- Base version which just closes the case.
- 'Air condition' version with openings for better convection.
- Version for Raspberry Pi camera model 2
- Version for Raspberry Pi camera model 3
- Version for Raspberry Pi AI camera
- Version with frontside GPIO opening
- Version with frontside GPIO opening and slots for better convection
