Description
A 3D printed steamboat where real water mist comes out of the chimneys – it looks like smoke, but it’s actually fine ultrasonic mist.
🔧 How it works
No electronics skills or soldering required – everything is plug & play:
- insert a ready-made ultrasonic atomizer module (link),
- fill the water tank,
- the water inlet is hidden in the bow – the cannon works as a stopper,
- connect via USB… and you’re ready to go! 🚀
💨 The ultrasonic atomizer breaks water into micro-particles, creating a realistic smoke-like cloud. Add a few drops of essential oil to enjoy not only the visual effect but also a pleasant fragrance 🌿✨.
🛠️ Assembly step by step
- Insert the cotton wicks from the atomizer kit into the chimney.
- Gently slide the atomizer board into the chimney so it touches the wick.
- Fix the electronics to the plastic with screws.
- Route the wires as shown in the picture.
- Connect the atomizer wires to the board.
- Fill with water, assemble the electronics cover, close the bow (cannon as stopper) – and it’s ready! 🎉
🖨️ 3D Printing
- Designed to be printed without supports.
Best printed in PLA, which handles bridges and overhangs well.
It may look a bit tricky to print because of the supports, but I managed to print it without any problems and it came out great. You can also try printing it with supports and even leave them inside, as long as they don’t interfere with anything.
