When designing my split keyboard, I wanted it to sound and feel great even with 3D printed keycaps. That’s why I made these THOCKY keycaps for mechanical switches with a standard Cherry MX stem.
They sound surprisingly good for 3D printed caps and have perfect tolerances so they fit on the switch “just right.”

Why They Sound Better
To get that signature thock, I made these caps as thicc as possible: extra wall thickness, reinforced top, and inner chamfers that add mass and deepen the sound.
Here’s the difference:
- Left: Standard lightweight 3D printed keycap → clanky, hollow sound
- Right: My THOCKY keycap → dense, solid, and thocky

For ironing, these are the settings I use for a smooth top finish. This is very dependent on filament and machine, so I recommend first test-printing one keycap to see how the top surface comes out. If necessary, adjust the settings (I suggest raising or lowering ironing flow by 3–5%.)
The print profile contains one blank and one homing keycap, printing is without supports
