Have you ever wondered about the new ship CIC just released, mentioned in the Red Dragon's backstory, "Anchor-73 Incident"?

Yes, it's the Yu-Long class trade flagship, mentioned only in one sentence.

This is exactly the path I planned from the start: a core framework + dual hull adaptation, hahahahaha~

And I made it.

Its full name is: CFS-80B Yu-Long Class Trade Flagship

Model Overview

  • The scale is still 1/1250, extremely huge, even twice as wide as the Red Dragon, please see: (That Clear Sky class looks a bit cramped, hahahahaha)
  • It uses the CIC CFS-80 standard flagship hull (I have opened up secondary creation permissions for this model, so if you like this theme and are too lazy to model the main hull, you can directly modify it, just remember to credit the source)
  • It uses a modular assembly system: mainly divided into the main hull, bow, trade bridge, main bridge, and side subsystems (see the settings and assembly instructions section later for details)
  • Very easy to print
  • Only the LOGO and hull number require multiple colors, the rest are multi-part and multi-color
  • The side modules are connected to the main hull via magnetic attraction, and can be opened to display the internal compartments (therefore, 16 6mm*2mm circular N52 strong magnets are required)
  • For those with strong hands-on skills, I have reserved space in the internal compartments for DIY wiring and lighting
  • Includes a dedicated display stand, which contains my personal touch (laughs): there is an 80th anniversary memorial logo for the victory in the War of Resistance and a Baidu Encyclopedia QR code at the bottom, allowing you to learn about the origin and important historical significance of China's Anti-Japanese War Memorial Day

    ——Mechanical Design and Assembly Instructions——

This time I put the mechanical design directly into the images. If the images are too small, please let me know and I will make it into a PDF.

——Backstory——

One month after the "Anchor-73" Incident (See the Red Dragon Class Combat Flagship backstory for details on the "Anchor-73" incident)
The cargo docks of Qiming Super Starport were still steeped in morning mist, giant mechanical arms' cable grinding sounds piercing the silence.
Shen Yan clutched a metal key with worn and shiny edges, the "CIC-07" engraving pressing against his palm. He looked up as the 18.75-meter square metal container swayed precariously, the red-on-white "For Research Institute Use Only - Do Not Touch" label on its side like a conspicuous warning sign in the mist.
"Slowly!" Lu Ye's voice came from the cargo hatch. He held a translucent chip card with a blurred institute emblem printed on it. "If this thing gets scratched, neither of us can afford it."
The mechanical arm's hydraulic rod slowly lowered, and the container landed steadily on the Yu-Long class cargo hold's mounting frame with a dull thud. Shen Yan walked over and tapped the container wall; the metallic sound was hollow and crisp: "CIC worked overtime for half a month, and finally got these four units ready. Zhou Jian from your starport was rushing us, saying they were 'critical system components.' What are these? So secretive."
Lu Ye didn't respond, just squatted down to inspect the container's bottom latch, his fingertips avoiding any place that might leave fingerprints: "The Red Dragon class just sent word that the outer airspace has been cleared. We'll set sail as soon as this one is loaded."
As the last container was placed, a notification, distorted by static, came through the public communicator: "Red Dragon class is on standby at Anchor Point 3. All personnel check cargo bay facilities. Departing in 10 minutes."
Shen Yan and Lu Ye exchanged glances, raising their hands simultaneously—the metal key was inserted into the left slot of the cargo hold console, the chip card into the right. Two green lights flashed, and the screen displayed: "Dual authorization successful, cargo hold locked."

Three hours after departure, VIP living area on the top floor of the subsystem
The viewport framed the dark red hull of the Red Dragon class into a still picture. The screen inside the cabin showed the remaining journey to their destination, the Naval Strategic Research Institute: 3.5 hours.
"We're halfway there!" Shen Yan said, handing over a cup of cold coffee, the instant granules at the bottom still undissolved: "What exactly is this YS device for? Didn't you order a Red Dragon from us before? It wouldn't be for this, would it? CIC didn't even show me the blueprints! And this Red Dragon seems quite strange; we only need to produce parts, and the assembly has to be done at your institute's starport..."
"Don't ask, knowing too much is trouble. This morning, your Xiao Liang asked what these four big guys in the cargo hold were and what they were for, saying they needed to be on the regular supply list. I didn't even tell her their names, it's too much trouble!" Lu Ye interrupted Shen Yan's chatter.

Five hours after departure, Yu-Long class cargo hold
The emergency lights in the cargo hold cast a cold glow. As Liang Yu pushed the inspection cart over, the wheels screeched on the metal floor. She clutched the regular supply list, and as she checked the third shelf, her eyes caught a loose corner of the isolation tape—the red tape surrounding the YS container, emblazoned with the three characters "Restricted Area."
"How did this isolation tape come loose?" Liang Yu mumbled, reaching out to pull it. Just as her fingertips touched the container's cold metal exterior, Shen Yan's voice suddenly came from behind her: "Don't touch!"
She startled, her hand retracting sharply. She turned to see Shen Yan and Lu Ye walking over from behind the control panel. Lu Ye shook the chip card in his hand, his tone unwavering: "YS1-4 containers are exclusive to the Naval Strategic Research Institute. Your authorization is insufficient, touching it will trigger a system log." Liang Yu tightened her grip on the list, asking quietly, "This container is so big, what exactly is inside?"
Shen Yan leaned against the isolation tape, blocking her view of the container: "No need to ask further, just check the regular supplies according to the list." "Alright, boss!" Liang Yu said with a hint of sarcasm, pushing the inspection cart back, deliberately taking a wide detour around the isolation tape, no longer glancing at the "YS-02" label on the container.

Six hours after departure, Yu-Long class cargo hold
"We're almost there, let's check the containers again," Lu Ye said.
Ten minutes later, the two confirmed the containers were intact.
"Lord Lu, could you tell me just a little bit about this thing... I'm really curious..."
"Alright, alright!..." Lu Ye finally succumbed to his persistent nagging. "You're really a curious baby! I can only tell you that the reason that Red Dragon needed to be assembled at the institute is because our expectations for its performance differ from the current standard CIC version, and these containers might just be the performance components we need, okay!"
"You seemed to say something, yet you seemed to say nothing at all..."
"Enough, really don't ask anymore, or else I'll have to write a self-criticism when I go back." Lu Ye interrupted Shen Yan, quickly stepping two paces aside.
"Arrived at the Naval Strategic Research Institute's heavy starport, cargo unloading will commence shortly." The broadcast came again.
Within two minutes, the static on the public broadcast suddenly cleared: "Naval Strategic Research Institute Heavy Cargo Barge 03 requests entry, Yu-Long class Cargo Hold B preparing to open."
Before the words had faded, the Yu-Long class's iconic giant cargo hatch slid open to both sides, and the cold light of deep space, mixed with the warm light inside the starport, poured into the cargo hold through the opening.
The hull of Barge 03 brushed past the anti-collision buffer strip at the edge of the cargo hold, stopping steadily in front of the container cluster. Heavy mechanical arms descended from its belly, stretching with a hum, their terminal claws precisely aligned with the lifting rings of "YS - 01."
"Come on, unlock the mounting frames." Lu Ye had already raised his chip card, and Shen Yan simultaneously inserted the "CIC - 07" metal key into the console. Two green lights flashed, and the latches at the bottom of the four YS containers clicked open, completely released.
Three docking personnel in spacesuits had just descended from the barge's gangway. Shen Yan and Lu Ye were about to go greet them when a familiar voice came from behind the trio

"Is this the super behemoth with a 500,000 cubic meter carrying capacity? Truly astonishing."
