Description

 

Wind Up Propeller Launcher:

I came up with the idea, because of my youngest couldn't start the rack&pinion launcher.

With the wind up model i can help him to start the propeller.

 

All Parts are printable, no need for other tools or screws and no glue is needed for assembly.

Simple press fit the parts together and have fun.

 

I was very impressed that one single rotation lift the propeller that height.

Some features:

  • Wind-up toy. Only one revolution is required to reach a flying height of 3m
  • A simple button on the bottom release the propeller. You can also drop the whole thing on the table or floor to start the propeller.
  • All Parts are printable, no need for other tools or screws and no glue is needed for assembly.
  • I added a “Phillips cross slot” on the shaft, which is compatible to my Kids Workspace" Philipps Screwdriver. With this, the little ones can wind-up themselves
  • The propellers are basically the ones from Brent Peterson Toroidal Launcher Mini Rings(100mm), i made them a bit lighter/smaller, and they fit now from both sides. But the originals work as well 😉 I do that compatibility because i don't want to have more different propeller lying around and this way i can honor his great work👍

Printing:

You can print all parts with PLA but i recommend to print the spring in PETG for better wind-up.

But feel free to use any material you have lying around and share your knowledge.

All parts are designed to print without support.

Only use a brim on the shaft.

Nette Federanwendung. Der Propeller ist allerdings zu schwach, er bricht. Und man braucht ein Teil zum aufziehen.

Kann dir empfehlen aus PETG den Propeller zu drucken, bei mir ist er noch nicht gebrochen. Ziehe sogar mit dem Propeller auf. Das Teil zum aufziehen war als kleines Gimmick gedacht. Viele Grüße

Yes PETG is recommended as described in description. You can try PLA+ i used for my second one and it works still. Be fair 2 stars for the print profile is not fair! If you use better materials it will work.

Did a little misstake by uploading V1.05, didnt uploaded the correct Base File.😑Sorry. Could be an issue by release the propeller. Base is now updated✅
