Description

I designed a dedicated case for the 4-channel 18650 battery charge/discharge/internal resistance meter purchased from AliExpress. This meter boasts excellent performance for its price, with the 4-channel version costing 50,500 KRW.

However, it is slightly disappointing that there is no case to store the main unit and that power is supplied via a USB-C cable.

Therefore, I used a Bambu Lab X1CC to create a stylish case and installed an external power toggle switch and DC inlet. I utilized the multi-color printing function to use different body and text colors on the sides for better readability, but I faced some difficulties due to significantly increased printing times and excessive filament blobs.

Nevertheless, storing the main unit in the stylish case made it much more stable and convenient to use.

Since the TACT Switch becomes difficult to press after printing, it is necessary to change it to a long type by referring to the link below.

2026.04.30: Upgraded to ver2. Although the existing modeling did not present any major issues in terms of usability, I decided to reinforce the physical strength of the cover.

Since the design ensures the cover firmly covers the base body, I believe it has become much more practical.

As the average thickness of the cover is approximately 5mm, it feels quite sturdy when actually 3D printed.

Additionally, because I did not like the TFT LCD being completely exposed, I attached a 2mm thick transparent acrylic sheet as shown in the photo, making it much more usable.

Great print overall – the design is really well thought out and everything fits nicely. I found that printing it with the text facing the build plate gives a much better result, as the lettering comes out very clean and sharp. It looks like I might have a slightly different revision of the meter, since my switches are shorter than expected. However, this wasn’t an issue during assembly and didn’t affect usability. Overall, the print is really impressive quality and a very practical, good-looking case.
