DK Kongo Drum 🥁🍌
Bring a piece of Donkey Kong nostalgia to life with this 3D-printed DK Kongo Drum! This is a toy i created for my 9 month old and he loves it.

This design captures the classic barrel style with woodgrain texture, metal banding, and the bold red DK logo on the front. It’s perfect as a prop, display piece, or just for some fun tapping rhythms like the original game controllers.

✨ Features

  • Detailed woodgrain texture for realism
  • Raised “DK” logo with bold coloring
  • Sized for tabletop display or light play
  • Print-friendly, no complex supports needed

📦 Best Uses

  • Retro gaming shelf decor
  • Cosplay and themed events
  • Fun gift for Donkey Kong fans
  • Light percussion play
  • Baby Toy
  • Kids Toy

Assembly

All you need is a few dabs of glue!

@user_1290541908 I love the muted brown you chose! For the drum skin try printing at a 0.08 layer height. My distortion disappeared.

Makerworld doesn’t allow videos with sound, only GIFs. I’ll try and upload a YouTube video this week, but it sounds like an actual bongo

im having issues printing the lid it just keeps messing up around the edges. Lots of loose strings hanging off. Tried lowering the nozzle temp a bit but no luck

Hello, my first try, the lid was making a lot of strings, so I slightly increased the nozzle temperature, lowered the speed on the outer walls, adjusted a few small settings, and it looks like it's working! It's currently printing... I'll come back to add a photo of the result when it's finished! For your information, I'm currently printing on an Elegoo CC2!
