3D Printed Mushroom-Shaped Hole Punch for Discbound Styled Notebooks

This is a fully 3D printed mushroom-style hole punch designed for discbound styled notebook systems. It lets you punch your own paper, photos, or anything else you’d like to add to your notepad, so you’re no longer limited to pre-punched paper.

Despite being fully 3D printed, the punch makes surprisingly clean cuts. It’s been tested on different paper thicknesses and works especially well on standard discbound paper. From the photos, you’ll see it’s strong enough to hold up an entire notepad from just a single punched page.

Features:

• 100% 3D printed – no metal parts needed.
• Requires only 1.75 mm of filament for the hinge pin.
• Designed with tight tolerances for a precise, close cut.
• A very light sanding of the hinge area may be needed for the perfect fit.
• A few test swivels will help loosen the motion and get smooth operation.

These types of punches are usually metal, but this design aims to get as close as possible to that quality while staying completely printable.

Notes:

• Printed and tested on a Bambu A1, but results may vary depending on printer and filament.
• If there’s enough interest, I’ll work on a V2 with improvements and other punch sizes.
• Feedback and recommendations are very welcome!

remember to sand these parts of the hinge if its to tight to fit , but not too much
