Description

I wanted to tidy up my mountain bike cockpit. Unfortunately, the Magura adapters available for purchase aren't ergonomic for me. So I designed adapters with different angles.

Depending on the angle of the brakes, you can choose an adapter so that the shift lever doesn't protrude too far.

I had the same problem with the Wolf Tooth dropper post lever. See my other model.

There's a regular version and a more stable version, each with three angled shift lever mounts.

With the regular version, the shift lever moves slightly. I therefore recommend printing this version with nylon or similar materials.

I recommend printing the adapter with reinforced nylon filament. I used PA12-CF. The prototypes were PETG. This also works very well, but you have to be careful when tightening the screws, as the material is hard and brittle.

Since the nylon gives way to the screw head when screwed in, the screws must be tightened by feel. My torque wrench starts at 2 Nm, which was already too much torque for the adapters. To improve adhesion, I used carbon paste between the handlebar and the mount.

The adapters can certainly be printed faster. However, I prefer to print slower, especially the walls, to achieve consistent and accurate prints.

Happy Printing!
