Description

A magnetic holder for Doodle Disc stencils.

 

The 3mf print profile includes a pause right before covering the holes in the holder. Be careful to put the magnets in the correct orientation!

 

For magnet orientation, you want the top of each printed piece to connect with the top of the other.

 

This model uses 6x2mm magnets, which can be found here. If you want, you can only put the magnets in the outer spots and use 8 total magnets instead of 15.

 

The printer pauses with open space for the magnets:

 

Place the magnets and tell the printer to continue:


When it is finished, the magnets are embedded in the holder:

 

There is both an AMS and a No AMS version. The No AMS version has a raised notch marker that is easy to color with a Sharpie.

So much fun! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this! Everything about this was spot on for tolerances. I printed the magnetic base to hold it steady, and I'm glad I did!

Came out better than expected. Could have used a few more top layers. You could see were the magnets are at. Other than that I highly recommend it

I can’t believe these exist and how fun they are for adults and children to keep busy. I printed these as a gift for my god son and he loves them !!! Great tolerances with the fit and how welling drawings line up. Such a fun ideas executed perfectly, thank you so much 11/10

8x3mm magnets
good concept, but the layers are so thin that you can see through to the magnets where I marked x to identify polarities. perhaps use a dark color? the bottom base did not print well. if the logo wasn't on the bottom side, it would have been a good alternative to use as a drawing base. also 4 of the magnet holes did not fit 8mm in the base. I had to use 6mm instead because it's all I had. otherwise a 7mm would have fit in the smaller holes

would give 5 stars except Bambu says I never printed it... humm.though I do have the question on my the logo is backwards on the disk holder. Disks are easy to swing in the holder. though I used the 6x2mm magnet(all 15) its magnetic, but not super strong. but enough that its easy to keep aligned. But might re do with the 8x2 mm magnets.

Will this model work with the Twist Art series discs as well? I have the holders for that model. I like this design with the extra magnets and might be a nice upgrade for my littles. However, if they can't use their current discs, they likely wouldn't use this model. Thanks in advance!

This holder is a bit more compact than the Twist Art magnetic holder. If you end up printing this case: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2359280-doodle-disc-case#profileId-2581105 then you'll want this magnetic holder because the Twist Art magnetic holder doesn't fit.
