Description

HEXA X BEAT Subwoofer/ Speaker Box

I designed a compact passive loudspeaker that can be printed in one piece, requiring only minimal supports at the bottom. The shape is charming hexagonal corners with soft, rounded edges, giving it a dice-like look. It’s a little powerhouse that sits on a desk without taking up much space.

There are two STL file variants:

  • Square aperture version: used as a subwoofer. The left and right sides use passive radiators instead of a bass-reflex port.
  • Smaller circular aperture version: used as a full-range speaker. The left and right sides likewise use passive radiators instead of a bass-reflex port.

Printing Tips

You can orient the main print as shown in the example to avoid supports. Unless you’re very particular about the circular geometry, you can skip supports and print as is. I have tried both files and they print successfully. Any small edge artifacts can be trimmed with a utility knife and won’t affect assembly.
