Description

Chicken Drinker – Easy DIY Nipple Drinker

This is a simple, low-cost chicken drinker design that can be 3D printed and assembled in just a few minutes. It uses a 10 ml syringe and a brass nipple drinker (available on AliExpress or other suppliers).

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 × 10 ml syringe with rubber piston
  • 1 × brass nipple drinker (8 mm)
  • Screws or zip ties (for mounting)
  • Drill (8 mm bit)
  • hose (to feed watrer to the syringe)

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Prepare the syringe
    • Remove the rubber seal from the piston.
  2. Drill the hole
    • Drill an 8 mm hole through the piston (in center of the rubber seal).
  3. Insert the nipple
    • Push the brass nipple drinker firmly into the drilled hole.
  4. Reassemble
    • Insert the modified piston back into the syringe body.
  5. Mounting
    • The design includes a mount that can be attached with screws.
    • The syringe clips securely into place and can be tightened further with a zip tie if needed.                                                                           6. Connect to a larger water supply
  • The syringe port can be connected to a hose that fits snugly.
  • Attach the other end of the hose to a larger container, such as a bottle or water tank, to keep the drinker filled automatically.
