Mocha Hurricane Dosing Base

Coffee grinder powder dosing base, compatible with Mocha Hurricane/Hario G1 coffee grinders. It can hold a bottomless portafilter with a dosing ring or a dosing cup. My version is 3.0; other versions are uncertain but you can try them

Installation:

Before installing the base, unscrew the grinder's original two screws, remove the bracket and baffle, keep the screws, align the bracket's vacant position with the screw holes, and re-tighten the original screws.

There is also a powder dispensing switch riser block; attach double-sided tape to it, align it with the lower edge of the powder dispensing switch, and stick it on. This way, you can push the portafilter directly against the switch to dispense powder.

Additionally, a 10*1 magnet slot is reserved at the bottom. If you have magnets of other specifications, you can drill a hole to replace it yourself.

Compatible accessories:

Mine is a three-ear portafilter, but two-ear should also work. The portafilter and dosing ring are common Taobao models.

The dosing ring is compatible with the very cheap aluminum magnetic dosing ring found on Taobao. The exposed height is roughly as shown in the figure.

The dosing cup is also compatible with this very common and inexpensive model. A 10*1 magnet is embedded at the bottom, which needs to be ground a bit for a perfect fit. If you have a thinner magnet, no grinding is needed. Pay attention to the polarity when attaching the magnet.
