Description

The Gloomhaven Monster Cabinet is my solution for organizing monster cards, monster cutouts, stands, and initiative tokens for Gloomhaven.

Simply pull the entire cabinet out of the box during setup, and you have all the monsters (and optionally - stands) ready to go. When you need a monster, just pull the entire drawer out and you can set them up and put them back as you play. This makes scenario setup and cleanup much quicker.

– Drawer –

The drawer is made to be big enough to fit all 8 monster cards sleeved, and the largest monsters in GH1E. I haven't gone through all of the Frosthaven and GH2E enemies yet, but I expect they should all fit as well. The slot on the front fits Frosthaven sized initiative tokens as well as the custom ones included here. If GH2E's initiative tokens are the same size, then they should also work. If you're printing for Frosthaven or GH2E, test to see if the biggest cardboard monsters fit in the drawers before you dive in on this print.

– Pull Tab –

I created an optional pull tab that can fit into place under the initiative tokens. I don't use them, but I could see why someone would want something to grip onto. Try just pulling them out from the front side walls first, and if you don't like it then print out the tabs. Make sure to print one and test it before printing a full set.

– Cabinet –

Pictured is the 5x8 cabinet, but I included several different sizes that should cover what most people would want. I printed mine in PETG because I liked the color, but PLA should also be fine. I also included an untested 6x8 cabinet that can barely fit on an H2S build plate. I had to shrink the internal walls down some for this so be aware that it may not perform as well as the other options. Printing 2x the 3x8 cabinet will probably also be easier to manage, but I included the option for the bold. I recommend printing the “monster_cabinet_test_fit” before starting any of the big ones.

– Initiative Tokens / Drawer Labels –

I highly recommend printing at the highest quality preset your nozzle can. Text will be poor quality with the default settings.

Gloomhaven 1st Edition didn't come with initiative tokens so I modeled some similar to the Frosthaven ones. You can use the included initiative tokens from Frosthaven or GH2E instead of printing these. There are separate plates for all GH1E, GH2E, Forgotten Circles, Jaws of the Lion, and Frosthaven normal enemies.  The font used is "PirataOne" which was distributed on board game geek by the creators of the game. The text box is inset 2mm from the corners, and has a text height of 5.8mm except for a couple that couldn't fit - those use a text height of 5.5mm or the largest that will fit all the text on one line.

– Monster Counts –

GH1E = 34

Forgotten Circles = 4

Jaws of the Lion = 7

Frosthaven = 48

GH2E = 36

If you want drawers for the monster stands, remember to add 2 for those!
