Fit-checking only. Not for road use.
This OpenSCAD project generates a parametric wheel spacer mock-up for bench and print fitment checks. It supports hubcentric rings, counterbore/countersink head pockets, nut recesses, and single/dual (half-step) bolt patterns.

Highlights

  • Quick Setup: Basic controls for thickness, OD, hub bore, wheel bore depth, PCD, bolt count, and pattern rotation.
  • Multi-PCD Ready: Primary pattern plus optional half-step (dual) pattern.
  • Head/Nut Options: Counterbore or countersink; front/back/both; nut recess on the opposite face.
  • Hubcentric Ring: Front or back, with clearance control.
  • Extras: Orientation notch, optional decorative slots, chamfered edges, cross-section view, and 2D template projection.
  • Safety Checks: Guard rails on depths vs. thickness and bore relationships.

How to Use

  1. Open the .scad in OpenSCAD (or MakerWorld’s Customizer).
  2. In BASIC settings, set:
    • spacer_thickness, outer_diameter
    • hub_bore_diameter, wheel_bore_diameter, wheel_bore_depth
    • bolt_pcd, bolt_count, pattern_rotation, add_dual_pattern
  3. Optional ADVANCED:
    • Clearances (hole_clearance, bore_clearance, ring_clearance)
    • Label options (label_text, label_placement = "auto" | "top" | "side", label_angle_deg)
    • Notch/slots aesthetics.
  4. Render render_mode = "3d" and export STL. Use cross_section to inspect internals or 2d_template to print a drilling template.

Print Recommendations

  • Orientation: Print flat on the bed.
  • Layer height: 0.2–0.32 mm (mock-up).
  • Walls: 3+ perimeters for clean holes.
  • Infill: 20–35% is fine for mock-ups.
  • Supports: Not required (built-in chamfers).
  • Material: PLA+, PETG, or similar.
  • Tuning: Start with test coupons (thin bore ring + one bolt hole) to dial fit. Typical diameter slack: +0.15–0.35 mm—tune bore_clearance and hole_clearance.

Notes & Safety

  • This is a fit-checking mock-up to validate geometry and clearances.
  • Do not use as a functional wheel spacer on any vehicle.
  • Verify dimensions with calipers; online specs vary by model/year.
