Description

I have a track saw and I needed an inexpensive way to support full sheets of plywood while breaking them down. All the YouTubers say to just grab a sheet of 2" foam insulation board, but that's $60 at the local box store. With this bracket you can buy 2 regular 2x4's for ~$4 each and  3 furring strips 1"x3"x8' for ~$3 each and cut them in half for 4' sections. with #6 wood screws attach the brackets evenly spaced down each of the 2x4's and then lay them parallel to each other. Insert your 4' furring strips into the bracket and viola you have a portable sacrificial cutting surface for around $20 plus the cost of filament. The bracket is designed with tight tolerances to the furring strips that I purchased from the big orange store, but your local lumbar may vary in thickness. I lightly tap the furring strips in with a hammer for setup and then tap them out when I'm breaking it down. This setup also works great with my Kobalt folding saw horses that have a bracket on each end to hold a 2x4.
