Hey there! :)

Halloween is right around the corner, and I thought what better than a Venetian Masquerade Mask for all of the Gothic/Victorian Aesthetic lovers. :D

I love this style of masks personally, and I really wanted to make something comfy and wearable. So it took me quite a while to figure out how to design the perimeter and support placement, and ensure the thin walls print without any issues. At the end, I'm very happy with the result, and I hope you'll be too!

Sizing Guide:

  • The published profile has a width of 15 cm (linear measure of the mask from ear to ear). This is the size that I'm wearing in the photos as well.Ā
  • I used to wear Small / Medium-sized masks during Covid-19, so you'll be good to go if that's the case for you. But if you were more comfortable wearing other sizes, I suggest resizing the width like this:
    - XS: 14 cm
    - S: 14.5 cm
    - M: 15 / 15.5 cm
    - L: 16 cm
    - XL: 16.5 cm
  • Of course, all faces are different, and maybe it takes a few trial and errors to find the perfect size for everyone. I couldn't find a universal online measure for hard, 3D masks. But in doubt, lean toward the bigger size to feel more comfortable wearing the mask.

Print Notes:

  • Print with 0.2 or 0.16 mm layers.
  • Reduce the infill to about 5 percent.
  • Lower the print speed for a smoother surface.
  • Change the Bottom Surface Pattern to ā€œConcentricā€.
  • Outer Brim to the moon: I used 20 mm of outer brim.
  • Enable support generation, I suggest using tree-type supports.

Wearing Notes:

  • Clean the print carefully before putting the mask on.
  • You can use a ribbon or cotton strip to hold the mask on your face.

I hope you enjoy it, and happy printing! :) šŸ„‚
