Overview

This is a fully 3D-printed retractable pen designed to work with BIC 4-Color pen cartridges. By reusing the ink cartridge and the original spring, you can transform a classic BIC into a sleek and customizable pen body with a textured TPU grip for enhanced comfort and aesthetics.

Requirements

• BIC 4-Color pen cartridges (directly from your BIC 4-Color)
• Spring from the same BIC 4-Color pen (see video below for where to find it)
• Also works with the spring from Bambu Store (https://eu.store.bambulab.com/fr/products/compression-spring?id=42089342009459), available separately or included in the CyberBrick Beginner Kit
• If you choose to buy cartridges only, you must also plan to order the spring from Bambu Store, as it is not included.

Printing Details

• 6 printable parts included in this model
• Layer height:
  • 0.12 mm for all parts except the click button
  • 0.08 mm for the click button
• Orientation: follow the provided print profile to ensure smooth mechanism function
• Important: make sure your print bed is clean and properly leveled, since the parts are long and printed vertically for best results

Assembly

1. Recover the spring from your BIC 4-Color pen (or use the Bambu Store spring).
2. Insert the cartridge fully into its printed housing (see video below) to ensure the tip aligns correctly in both writing and retracted positions.
3. Add the TPU textured cushion grip for a more comfortable writing experience and a stylish look.
4. Personalize the body colors to your preference!
