Am I missing something? I tried to print but it didn't print with the hole.

The hole is on the model as a negative space, it should show up when you are looking at it in the bambu slicer and when you slice it you should also see the hole. Be careful moving the model around the plate that you dont accidentally move or delete the hole, you. If its not showing up, try redownloading the 3mf

It was too small for my Stanley straw and the waste was like 3x the amount of what was actually used for the project. Super cute, but could waste less PLA

Is it possible you used a larger straw than the original Stanley comes with? Its pictured on a 40oz stanley straw as well as smaller straws. As for the waste, the only way to change that would be purging into other objects, or painting the book covers after. I don't know any other way to reduce the waste. You could print it single color if you want to save PLA.
