Description

A rudder I made for my Newport 55lb thrust motor. Shaft is 1 1/8''. There are two options to print it rudder as single piece or split to save time and support filament (i used gorilla glue to glue them.). Uses 8 3mm screws and nuts to clamp it together around the motor shaft. Have been using mine for a few weeks now and is working great.

Looks / works great. Had to saw about a 1/4-1/2" from the inside top (closest to the shaft) to clear the mounting bracket when lifting the trolling motor straight up. Small issue.

Other Issues:Shaft bore was poor fit.

How so? It needs to be a tight fit so it doesn't walk.
