Description

My third spaceship kit!

The Obsidian Bat is a top of the line attack fighter. It's the space equivalent to a hot rod. It's speed and maneuverability are second to none. It's front mounted heavy cannon has multiple firing modes. You can disable you enemy or turn them to space dust.

This version prints with no supports and requires no glue for assembly. Stand is included. This version is just under a foot long and looks great on the shelf.  Used two small pieces of filament for the back copper pipes.

Printed out great on my P1S with Bambu PLA

All parts are tested before uploading. Use my provided 3mf for easiest and best results!

If you aren't using my 3mf check the photos section for an image with all the proper print orientations. I will also include some images in the assembly guide section that show where all the parts go. The assembly is VERY fast and VERY easy. This one does have a small tool to help you tighten the bolt BEHIND the cockpit so it sits flush.

As a fellow designer, these are the type of designs that bring a smile to my face. This is perfect 3d engineering. Interesting surface details, various parts, simple printing in single colors, functional threading components for secure fit. A lot of thought went into this design. Thank you. I'll be stopping back to boost when I get a new token. update: added pic including the filament accent. Wonderful!

Awesome as always, filament won't quite fit in the back details but I'll get it in there eventually. Thanks for the great models!

dude first off, I love those colors. That looks very cool. I loosened the filament holes as much as I could. They are fairly loose for me. On one of my earlier tests where it was too tight I just stuck a tiny Allen key in the hole to loosen it up.

Thanks man! I'll probably mess with it more tomorrow, I hit it with a drill bit that's just a bit bigger than 1.75 but had a bunch of other stuff come up that prevented me from finishing the project tonight. Thanks again!

This is just the kind of model I love printing. It is both a great display piece, and fun to assemble! I love how everything is connected by screws, so innovative! All in all this model is very high quality and fun. I would highly recommend printing this to anyone! Thanks for sharing this incredible model!! so much fun, way larger than anticipated but no problem with that. everything went together very easily and it looks sick as hell. highly recommend for kids or kids at heart. I immediately printed another space ship model from canadianjedi after this one because it was so good. thank you!

your models are so impressive the ease with which they print and assemble with the locking screws and fit I’d love to know how you design them so well. printed it in 2 colors one I was going to paint and after priming it grey it looked so good with the matte grey and shiny silver I left it as is. another well deserved boost

thanks dude! That does look really .cool in the grey. I really wanna take the time to paint some of my ships, I think it would be a ton of fun. I design these in fusion. Appreciate the boost and the pic and the review.

My favorite part of this model is it requires no tools (everything is in the print) and the arches behind the cockpit are perfect for strands of 1.75 filament. Plus it looks super cool! I wish photos could do it justice... boosted!
