Nicot Bottom Board Asian Hornet Entrance Guard

This entrance guard model is designed to reduce colony stress from Asian hornet attacks.
It easily attaches to a Nicot bottom board using two small side clips that fit the frame (see circle in photo).

Required materials:

• 1 wooden slat 30 × 430 mm (5 mm thick)
• 1 small board 120 × 430 mm (10 mm thick, may vary depending on available wood)
• Metal mesh 10 × 10 mm (to be adapted according to bottom board size)
• A few small screws for assembly

The mesh fits into the guides provided inside the entrance guard.
For smaller hives (e.g., 6-frame nuc box), simply adjust the length of the wooden elements.

This simple system limits direct predation while allowing bees to work more calmly.
