The scarecrow creaks to life on its crooked post, straw spilling from its frame as its pumpkin grin gleams in the dark. From the forests and shadowed hills, the werewolf prowls in, claws glinting and eyes aflame with the hunger of the hunt. The shambling dead arrive next, zombies dragging their rotting limbs across the earth, followed by rattling skeletons—some wielding rusted swords, others simply clattering in eerie rhythm. Ghosts drift among them like pale lanterns, whispering secrets of the grave, while an undead ranger, spurs chiming like funeral bells, tips his cracked hat to the gathering. Together they form a dreadful company—an unholy gang of Halloween’s children, united by darkness, haunting roads, fields, and towns, leaving behind only fear and the memory of their passage.”
