Plant Watering Ball, Thirst Ball
Print Profile(6)

Description
Watering ball, thirst balls in various sizes for watering plants.
Optimal for holidays, business trips, etc. to protect plants from drying out when neighbors don't have time to water them.
Sizes:
Ø60x200mm
Ø80x250mm
Ø80x320mm
Ø100x250mm
Ø100x320mm
Principle of operation:
The watering ball is filled with water and inserted deep into the soil with the pointed end, ideally near the roots.
First, the soil clogs the end of the watering ball like a wick. This prevents the water from flowing out of the ball immediately.
Thanks to the laws of physics, water only exits the watering ball when the soil is dry.
The soil then absorbs water until the necessary moisture level is reached again. Furthermore, the watering ball also absorbs oxygen from the soil. This gradually displaces the water from the ball, causing it to be released in droplets. In this way, the plant receives exactly the amount of water it needs.
To fill, use a funnel or immerse the ball in water until it is full.
As a material, I would recommend PETG for this.
