Description

UPDATE: I have made an update to the Pick Pocket, some people had issues with the hinge in different materials & on different printers so I have just uploaded a modified model with a larger hinge & made the area around the hinge more robust.

I have also made the file simpler, only 3 variants, you get to choose your colour, select Objects & you can see the body items shown here as 5-Gray, just click on the number & change the colour to another number (or add your own colour)

The text is cusomisable, click on the text_shape as shown then click the "Ta" icon to bring up the text tool & enter your own text or delete it.

-----

Hey after having guitar picks all over the place, I decided to model up a case small enough to put in your pocket or guitar case.

I only use DUNLOP picks, specifically JIM DUNLOP or DUNLOP GATOR picks, hence why I have made the case for these picks,

I have included a blank so you can add your own image or name etc.

When printing, allow the case to fully cool before articulating the hinge. Also, you may need to open & shut the case a couple of times to get it to settle in, it should be a nice firm grip.

This has been printed on a Bambu Labs A1 with Bambu Labs PLA Basic & PETG=HF filaments, I know others may have problems when printing on different machines or using different filaments, so I have also provided a blank with more tolerance in the hinge & another will a weaker grip on the latch

Hello, I printed standard Bambulab PLA with a P1S. I am disappointed that it broke because I really like your design

Hi, I am always interested when people get different results than me, for clarity, I use Bambu Labs Filament (PLA & PETG-HF) on a Bambu Labs printer, I would be interested in understanding your issue better, can you share what brand/model printer and brand/type filament used. Which of the 2 profiles did you print, was it the same issue on both profiles? I assume if for whatever reason the picks get stuck that you scaled the print up slightly (1%, 2% etc). Anyway, sorry you had trouble. Regards Dean

Nice design but what a shame, the hinge broke on the very first fold So I didn't try again

Hi, Thanks for the feedback, if you don't mind I would like to ask you some questions (obviously I can increase the clearance of the hinge as required but) I am interested in the details of your print if you could share please? 1. What printer did you use (ie A1 min, A1, etc) 2. What brand filament did you use Bambu Labs, eSun etc 3. What type of filament did you use PLA, PETG, etc 4. Did you let the print cool before articulating the hinge? If you can provide the information, I can make adjustments to the model to make it more likely to work on your printer with your chosen filament. Obviously it worked fine in my circumstance, but I am very interested in making it more successful with other users Regards Dean

Sized too small and lost my picks inside. Printing between 105-110% scale makes it perfect. Thank you!
