Description

Reinforced DS7 Wheel Caps – 56mm Inner / 60mm Outer Diameter

If you're like me and have had your original DS7 wheel caps break multiple times due to their weak design, this might be the solution you're looking for.

I’m sharing this custom-designed cap, compatible with the DS7 (or any wheel hub that fits a 56mm inner and 60mm outer diameter). I’ve reinforced the fragile parts that usually tend to snap easily in the original version.

Important printing advice:
Due to the shape and design of the logo, you’ll need to print these caps at an angle or standing vertically to preserve the embossed logo effect. Do not print them flat, or you’ll lose the 3D look of the logo.

Also, to improve the strength of the clips that hold the cap in place, printing them flat is a bad idea—layer lines will align with the stress points, making them more likely to break. Printing them at an angle or vertically helps avoid this and adds durability.

I only had white filament left for my prototype – not the prettiest, I know – but I printed it with eSun PLA+, which held up really well after three weeks of driving in high heat and rain. That said, I highly recommend using PC-ABS or ABS for better long-term resistance.

More DS-related parts will come soon – including free-spinning caps with bearings!
